Homegrown, hand-spun living in the city

Almost two months ago now, I celebrated my graduation from the Ecological Landscaper Immersion program at the Permaculture Skills Center, surrounded by teachers and fellow students who had become like brothers and sisters to me. Six months together makes for some pretty strong bonds!

What I said that day when they passed the mic on to me was this: “My goal now is to do work that transforms mindsets as well as landscapes. Tomorrow, I’m heading to India to reunite with my partner, but I will most likely end up back on the East Coast where I will step fully into my new work. Last spring, I left an existing career to pursue this path. It was a huge leap of faith, but ELI has proved to be exactly the stepping stone that I needed. It has given me the resources and skills and confidence that have made my dreams possible, and for that I’m incredibly grateful.”

Making those dreams a reality is what I’m working on now, and you’ll hear more in early 2017.
